  • Facial Features: We gather facial feature data separately from your photos solely to provide the face-editing features of the Application. This data is not considered biometric.
  • Email Address: We collect your email address during registration and use it to send a verification code to complete the process.

  • Usage Details: This includes data such as traffic information, logs, and other communication data, along with the resources you access and use within the Application.
  • Device Information: We may collect details about your mobile device and internet connection, including the device’s unique identifier, operating system, browser type, and mobile network information.

When you download, access, and use the Application, we may collect information using various methods. The technologies used for automatic information collection come from third parties, including:

  • Cookies and Similar Technologies: Similar to many online services and mobile apps, we use cookies—small pieces of code that remain on your device after visiting websites and online services. These enable the website or app to provide you with customized information on your subsequent visits.
  • Web Beacons: The Application’s pages may contain small electronic files known as web beacons (also called clear gifs, pixel tags, and single-pixel gifs) that help us count users who have visited those pages and gather other related statistics.

We retain all rights, title, and interest (including intellectual property rights) in and to the Application and the technology, systems, and software used to provide it. You retain all intellectual property rights to the materials you upload and the content you create through the Application.

5. Data Retention and Transfer

5.1 Data Storage

Created content will be stored for 7 days (24 hours a day), while the photos, GIFs, or videos you directly upload for face-editing will be stored on a remote server in Hong Kong and exclusively during your use of the Services. This retention makes it convenient for you to quickly access the created content if you close and reopen the Application during the processing and for your repeated use of the Services.

5.2 Data Location

The Application is maintained in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region ("HKSAR"), and data stored in the HKSAR may be subject to lawful requests by local courts or law enforcement authorities. Any information you provide via the Application may be stored, processed, transferred between, and accessed from the HKSAR and other districts or countries, which may not guarantee the same level of protection as the one in which you reside. You explicitly consent and agree to such transfer, storage, and/or processing of your information outside the district or country in which you reside.

6. Disclosure of Your Information

We may disclose personal information that we collect or you provide without restriction under these circumstances:

  • To our subsidiaries and affiliates.
  • To contractors, service providers, and other third parties we use to support our business and who are bound by contractual obligations to keep personal information confidential and use it only for the purposes for which we disclose it to them.

You may share content you create using the Application, including photos, GIFs, and videos ("User Content"), for publication or display on social media networks and other websites you access from the Application. We cannot control the actions of third parties with whom you may choose to share your User Content. Therefore, we cannot and do not guarantee that your User Content will not be viewed by unauthorized persons, and we have no control or liability regarding how your User Content may be used by others once you have posted or otherwise transmitted it. Therefore, your User Content is posted and transmitted to others at your own risk.

7.5 Erasing Data

We provide you with the ability to erase your data. You can erase your uploads at https://www.facemex.ai/my/uploads, your creations at https://www.facemex.ai/my/creations, and your faces at https://www.facemex.ai/my/faces.

When you delete your account, we delete all associated data. If you want to delete your account, you can visit at https://www.facemex.ai/my/account.

8. Children's Policy

8.1 General Age Limitation

The Application is not intended for children under 18 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18 (this age may vary due to local regulatory requirements). If we learn we have collected or received personal information from a child under 18 without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information.
